Stress & Resilience Promotion
For the next 2 months, supplements and products associated with reducing cortisol and stress levels will be on 10% discount, as we take stock of how we are doing, coping with the different pressures life throws up. For our patients and clients that use CalmX, now labeled MetaRelax, and Neurocalm, these 2 are discounted along with other supplements in image.

New Admin Staff
Andrea, our hardworking Practice Manager, is pleased to introduce Jen to the BDHH Bayswater North patients. Jen is an experienced medical administrator and will support our BN team of Julia, Tash and Robyn. We aim to provide a peaceful, calm and beneficial healthcare experience within our clinics and we appreciate everyone’s help in facilitating this outcome. BDHH’s vision is to be the leading Integrative Medicine and Allied Health care centre in the Outer East of Melbourne, delivering individualised, patient centred care to each person that comes through our doors.
Thank you to everyone who allows our admin and practitioners to be the best in Lilydale and Bayswater North!
Benefits of ‘Hands-on’ Therapy

Physical touch can be a powerful healer. We all know this from our hugs from mum as a kid, or their lack. Many of our healthcare practitioners at both of our clinics utilise ‘hand-on’ techniques applied in a therapeutic manner to achieve a range of outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Decreased pain
- Increased blood flow
- Improved joint function
- Decreased muscle spasms
- Reduction in anxiety
- Improved mood
- Emotional support
- Increased connection
Here’s a brief summary of what you can experience when choosing physical therapy with a qualified healthcare professional including Osteopaths, Myotherapists and Remedial Massage Therapists:
- Neurotransmitter release: serotonin, dopamine and endorphin production, increasing ‘feel good’ hormones.
- Physiological regulation: brain activity influencing balance and homeostasis in the body, reducing cortisol (stress hormone)
- Improved sleep patterns, including deeper sleep and more beneficial sleep time.
- Hormonal release: a trigger of oxytocin, reduces stress and increases connection to others and the world.
- Faster healing: by promoting and accelerating the body’s natural healing processes.
- Relaxation: an obvious benefit of feeling better.
- A better understanding of ‘what’s going on.’
Physical therapists that use touch techniques including soft tissue massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and manipulation, hold their professions with honour, as we are invited into someone’s ‘personal space’ to offer therapy to help in time of need, while promoting healing and the whole range of benefits listed above. Nearly everyone can benefit from more ‘hands-on’ therapies.
BDHH sends these updates every couple of months. If you wish to unsubscribe you will not receive your email reminders for appointments at the clinics.
