Dr. Rowan Adams – Musculoskeletal Osteopath

Rowan has a particular interest in the assessment and management of vertigo and dizziness, neck pain, and lower limb injuries. He believes successful treatment is about more than short-term pain relief, combining hands-on care, clear education, and practical exercise strategies to help patients achieve lasting results. In the last few years treating clinically in Canterbury, Melbourne, Rowan has developed his skills in dry needling, cupping therapy, and tailored rehabilitation programs. Aiming to support recovery, reduce pain, and help patients return to their everyday activities, work, and sport.
His interest in Osteopathy began through his own sporting injuries while playing basketball and cricket growing up in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs. After seeking treatment from an Osteopath himself, he was inspired by the profession’s ability to help people move better, feel better, and return to doing what they love.
Rowan completed his osteopathic studies at Victoria University, where he gained experience working with people of all ages and a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. He is passionate about creating a comfortable treatment environment and empowering patients through education, helping them better understand their condition and take an active role in their recovery. Rowan also gained valuable experience in acute injury assessment and management through his three years working as a sports trainer at Mulgrave Football Club.
Outside of the clinic, Rowan enjoys spending time in the gym, playing guitar, and staying active. He recently welcomed a Groodle puppy into the family and, when he’s not chasing the dog around, can usually be found camping or working on his latest home renovation project with his wife, Maddie.
