DETOX SUPPLEMENTS
Metabolic detoxification refers to the pathways by which the body processes unwanted chemicals for elimination. The body metabolizes xenobiotics (foreign chemicals) and unnecessary endobiotics (endogenously produced chemicals) so they can be excreted.
For the months of August and September, the range of detox supplements and superfoods will be 10% off. Check with your Naturopath or Nutritionist practitioner before purchasing.
MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING
Our next course will be held on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th October, facilitated by Daniel Berends, Psychologist. Register here
MHFA Officers are accredited by Mental Health First Aid Australia to provide mental health first aid within their worksite. Providing initial support and helping refer to professional support if needed.
MHFA courses do this by teaching participants about the signs and symptoms of mental health struggles and follow up with the practical skills needed to support someone experiencing a mental health problem, or experiencing a mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received.

Thank you to everyone who has left a review of our business so far. We would greatly appreciate each of you taking 1 minute to write a short review via this link. Scroll down the right hand side of the page under BDHH and click on Leave a Review.
Congratulations to Rebecca Gallagher, Lisa Kowacki and Riley Thompson! You each have $50 credit to spend in the BDHH Shop next time you are in the clinic.
JONATHAN INJURY UPDATE
In late July, our Practice Principal, Jonathan, received an update for his left shoulder condition, letting him know he would require some PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections. He will be having a week off in early August, then needing to reduce his patient clinical load while he rehabilitates. Jonathan is very thankful to have a fantastic Osteopathic and body therapist team @ BDHH, who will be able to look after any patients he is unable to see in the next couple of months.
MOTIVATION – A conversation
“If only motivation came in a pill,” lamented the melancholic human. “Ah, you must unravel your inner workings, to discover why you are the way you are,” retorted the wind, “as that will bring about necessary change.”
“But that is hard,” continued the labile wanderer, “and I don’t think I can.”
“How do you think I stay motivated?” posed the wind. “I do what I have been created to do and find purpose in that alone.”
Motivation is known to comprise many competing emotions, but developing healthy habits in our lives, established because of a purposeful existence will bring about lasting change.
- Try asking for support/accountability or a mentor
- Set specific, measurable goals, in small steps
- Choose something you can do to ‘have a win’
- Keep up the momentum for 2 months 🙂
