Private health insurance

As 2025 closes, we find many patients appreciate the reminder to make sure they have used their allocated private health insurance extras or GP CCMP sessions for the year.  Our clinics will be open until Christmas Eve, so if you would like to use up your extras cover on Remedial Massage, Osteopathy, Myotherapy or Exercise Physiology before the year ends, we’re happy to help.

December Promotions

It is that time of year again – For December and January, you can purchase 4 pairs of Archies thongs or slides and receive 1 pair free! Also, as we do each year, single pairs of slides or thongs will be $6 off (which is 15% – this is more than in previous years!). Please place your orders early for Christmas gifts, if we don’t have your size or colour in stock – we will get them ASAP for you!

Alongside our Archies promotions, the month of December sees our focus on pain and inflammation and natural supplements that can help reduce the severity and therefore frustration of these conditions. Included in this promotion are the very popular and effective turmeric and omega 3 fish oil supplements across different brands.

Medical Acupuncture Clinic

Dr. Libby Rochstein (GP) will be concluding her acupuncture services at BDHH from Mid December. She will still be consulting in the local high school doctors program. Dr. Libby can provide a referral to another medical acupuncturist, for those requiring one. This service has been a real positive for the clinic and Dr. Libby is still excited about the schools program along with her other role in indigenous health.

Holistic Plan for 2026

choices

Here’s some questions and ideas from our Practitioners @ BDHH, to ponder as you plan for 2026.

Body – Am I sore in places that I shouldn’t be or wish that I wasn’t? Should I have some massage or some Osteopathy, or do I need specific exercise interventions?

We all need to move more appropriately for our age and stage of life and we all need body therapies to reduce risk of injury, improve joint and muscle function as we get about our lives. These are not luxuries, but necessary to turn up to work, improve output at work and to limit recurrence of potential muscle and joint problems.

Mind – Do I have some unhelpful thinking or behavioural patterns that are affecting my joy or satisfaction in life? Am I frustrated about my mental cognition or reactions to life circumstances?

Cognition has a few factors that health professionals can help with, no matter where we place on the spectrum. Nutrition and Omega 3 fish oils specifically, fuel our brains. Lifestyle choices, like tech use and physical activity also impact our brain action and reaction. Then the hard work of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) enables people to restructure their brain wiring to be able to function more healthily in relationships, workplaces and their families. A psychologist can be imminently helpful in this way, along with redirecting anxious or depressive pathways or thought and behaviour.

Soul – Am I displaying some unhealthy or excessive emotions, towards other people, towards myself or with social media use? Could I rest more, so that I could be more wise, centred and balanced in my interactions with others.

Emotional healthiness is a combination of many factors, which can include primary factors like our jobs or voluntary work, relationships – both intimate and friendships, physical activeness (or inactiveness) and spirituality – a spiritual view of the world, see next point. The balance of these 4 primary “foods” in each of our lives will dictate our food choices and our emotional state. Assess if you have a tendency for  ‘emotional eating’ or binging entertainment sources or if you are neglecting important relationships? These are all powerful areas that can be addressed if an imbalance is present.

Spirit – What is my perspective on the spiritual side of life? Why am I here and what do I believe about what my purpose for living is? What changes would I make next year, if I had a new revelation and deeper meaning to my life?

We all have a spirit part of us, even if we don’t think about it often (or at all!). Finding peace and purpose and living with intentionality, based on a deeper meaning to life, will feed and fuel each of us. Being human can be complex at times, with pain and suffering, joy and happiness, life and death, coming at us each day! Finding your reason and purpose within a spiritual frame of reference will help your 2026 be deeper than previous years.

BDHH has so many fantastic practitioners with so many different skill sets and qualifications, so you are sure to find help for any area you may feel you could benefit from.

Have a blessed Christmas and a purposeful 2026!

Google Reviews

And finally, thank you to all of our patients and clients who have submitted a review of BDHH Lilydale or Bayswater North on google this year. If you have not had a chance yet, our team would really appreciate you taking 2 minutes to submit one.
