General Practice at By Design Holistic Health

About our GPs

Dr Natalie Barton has been a GP for over 20 years and has worked in rural and metropolitan
general practice, as well as with Headspace, Sexual Health Victoria and the Jean Hailes
Centre for Women’s Health. She has completed postgraduate diploma training in obstetrics
and gynaecology and nutritional medicine, and has special interests in youth health, mental
health and women’s health including menopause and perimenopause care. Natalie works in
our Doctors in Secondary Schools program and consults at Lilydale on Thursdays for students who cannot be seen during school hours.

Dr Libby Rochstein is a holistically minded GP trained in medical acupuncture with over 25
years’ experience. She is a Fellow of and medical supervisor with the Australian Medical
Acupuncture College. Libby has extensive experience in youth health, and currently also
works with the Indigenous health clinic at EACH. She can support people of all ages with
acute or chronic health conditions and will provide an in-depth and holistic approach to each
person’s medical needs. Libby works in our Doctors in Secondary Schools program on Wednesdays.

Appointment types

We aim to provide each student with the time required to properly address their health
issues, and offer a variety of appointment types, depending on need. Initial appointments are
generally 30-60 minutes, to allow us to understand your health issues and develop an
appropriate management plan. Shorter appointments are available for results and follow-up,
and these are arranged in consultation with you during your initial appointment. We also
offer telehealth appointments for existing patients where appropriate. Home visits are
available based on need and can be arranged in consultation with Dr Natalie and Dr Libby if
required.

We unfortunately cannot cater for walk-in appointments at our Lilydale clinic, but students
are welcome to attend our Doctors in Secondary School clinics without a booked
appointment.

Our Doctors in Secondary Schools clinics run at Croydon Community School, Upper Yarra
Secondary College, Yarra Hills Secondary College, Boronia K-12 College and Bayswater
Secondary College one day each per week during Victorian school terms. Home visits are
available based on need and can be arranged in consultation with Dr Natalie and Dr Libby if

Practice fees

All students seen through Doctors in Secondary Schools clinics and at our Lilydale clinic are
bulk-billed for all services, and there are no out-of-pocket fees. Dr Libby and Dr Natalie
privately bill for acupuncture and women’s health appointments, and a list of current fees is
available on request through our reception.

For appointment bookings please contact our reception staff on 9739 6409. Students who
